Throughout many jurisdictions internationally and even in the region, countries have embarked on various initiatives to:
- Spur local consumption
- Improve food security and
- Generate much needed income especially for the rural economies.
As part of Grenada’s economic revival, the Grenada Private Sector Working Group has embarked on a “Buy Local” initiative in response to these global occurrences.
The Private Sector Working Group (PSWG), which comprises the Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GCIC), the Grenada Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade, Planning & Cooperatives and the Grenada National EPA Implementation Unit (NEPAIU), invites individuals and groups to participate in its “Buy Local” Logo and Slogan Competition.
The winning Logo and Slogan will attract a cash prize of EC$500.00 and will be used throughout the entire Buy Local Campaign.
Participants will be judged on the following criteria:
- Infusion of Local Culture and Heritage
- Design and Content
- Ability to catch attention
The deadline for submission of logos and slogans is May 15th 2013. These designs must be submitted electronically via PSWGGrenada@gmail.com. All enquiries can also be forwarded to this address as well.
